How to build a mailing list without an auto responder

List Building Strategies

When it comes to list building strategies it’s usually those who think outside of the box that get the best results. The majority of the Internet marketing community has in ingrained in their head that more opt-ins equal more sales. While part of this is true, there are variables that must be taken into consideration.

Time and money – standard list building strategies, using an auto responder, require time and monetary resources. If you want to build a great list then you will need to buy quality advertising, offer a quality incentive, host a lead capture page, etc. Therefore, you need solid, list building strategies, that will save you time and money.

Competition – if you are using a pre-built template through a business opportunity then you have to compete with others who may be using the same template. Obviously, then, you need a creative, effective set of list building strategies that you can use to brand yourself and be unique.

Today, more than ever, you have to be smart with your money. It’s not getting any cheaper to eat, raise a family or fuel your car. In most cases, a standard auto responder account runs (on average) around $20 per month. When combined with the other expenses, outlined above, you can easily see how it won’t take long to rack up a bill of $30 to $100 per month just to cover your list building expenses.

The list building strategies discussed, in the video above, cost less than the price of an auto responder alone and are MUCH more effective, for several reasons. For example… using the list building strategies shared in the video you can easily deliver your message directly to the desktop of your friends and contacts. With all of the spam filters and mass e-mail accounts being used today it’s getting harder and harder to reach people using that medium. With an auto responder you can’t talk or video conference like you can using Skype.

Skype is free. Mercury Max IM (Skype rexharrislive for details) is very inexpensive and most of the social networks are free. Swapping Skype ID’s is much easier than trying to convince people to opt-in to a form on your web page or blog.

    Rex,

Great content as always. Quick question… Who are you using as a web host? I know some of them get bent out of shape when you send 100-200 messages at a time and I have a bunch of domains I don’t want to have to move any time soon. lol

    Thanks,
    Pete
